Local Legends Threads Circa 2005

During the cold winter months of 2005 in a college dorm room, the beginning stages of Local Legends Threads Clothing Line started to take shape. In between classes, parties, sports and sleep, an idea for a clothing line that would demonstrate and represent the love a few close friends shared for their culture as well as their home city of Philadelphia was born.

Dave Bontempo, founder and creator of Local Legends Threads has always had a passion for uniting counter culture ways with mainstream society. With deep roots in Skateboarding, Surfing and Punk Rock Music, Bontempo, who credits his closest friends as inspiration, has crafted a line that unites both young & old, male & female, and people of any race, size or shape.
Local Legends Threads is an energy fueled company that is devoted to helping people of all backgrounds express themselves. As an avid fan of local music, Bontempo credits bands and more importantly friends like The Seventy Six, Valencia, conScience as well as [R.I.P.] Parkview, Strike.Fire.Fall and Somerset as inspirations for wanting to make clothes that proclaim and embrace local youth culture.
